AI Ski Training App
Refined AI learning journeys and lifted top-level visual language, brought fresh energy and clarity to the product helping seasonal launch video hit 7k views.
Challenge
Carv brought me in for a focused one month sprint as a Senior UX UI Designer. I quickly immersed myself in their AI ski training app, refining core learning journeys and strengthening structural clarity across key flows. The challenge involved elevating emotional engagement through a more confident, expressive visual language.
Approach
I worked closely with their Head of UX, building open and honest conversations across product, engineering and the leadership team. I grounded myself in their brand vision, to best shape digital solutions. I shared thinking early through rapid Figma explorations and iterative creative loops, bringing fresh concepts to the table.
Outcome
We delivered refined AI learning flows and clearer challenge progression and feedback. I developed modular components ready for development and expanded the colour and graphical system. Stronger celebration states and clearer hierarchy provided a cohesive visual framework to guide the upcoming product release.
Impact
I carried fresh energy into the launch, and the CEO shared that the work introduced a new level of excitement to the product. The seasonal launch video has now reached almost 7k views on YouTube, signalling strong anticipation. As the biggest coaching app upgrade yet, it established a scalable foundation and accelerated team momentum.

Exploration and alignment of colour

We explored colour as part of core workflows, auditing and expanding the palette to support celebration moments and key UX states. The second phase focused on learning journeys, streamlining UX for accessibility as people use the app whilst skiing. Plus I ensured UX flow aligned with AI-audio app use.
Feature of fun and dopamine hits

A key feature was developing pictograms for skiing levels, balancing fun and playfulness with function. The challenge was creating a robust visual language that worked globally across brand and app while managing colour trade-offs in relation to there core colour palette.
Reflection
The way technology is pushed forwards when aligned with peoples true passion and lifestyles
Accessibility mean many things, in this case means on a mountain with glaring sun, or in a snow drift
There’s real satisfaction with creating colours set, and balancing aesthetics with accessibility
